Low impact paintball has been gaining in popularity – not only at our paintball location in New Jersey, NYC and Texas – but all across the country.

Low impact paintball play isn’t just a great birthday party idea for the kids. People who have never played paintball before are sometimes intimidated by the game. And there are lots of people who just prefer playing low impact paintball.

Low Impact Play

The first question asked by anyone who has never had the pleasure of playing paintball is, “Does it hurt?” If you are no stranger to paintball, you know that sometimes getting hit can sting a bit. Usually, though, it won’t bother you at all.

Still, if you are planning a paintball event and a bunch of your guests are asking you if they are going to get hurt playing, they might not believe you when you tell them not to worry. But imagine what the response would be if you told them that everyone would be playing a low impact form of playball. All of a sudden, your event becomes the popular, fun-loving gathering you were hoping for.

Low impact paintball is also ideal for kids birthday parties. In fact, we offer something we call Splat Parties.  These special paintball events involve the use of soft-propelled paint-guns and are a great idea for kids ages 7 to 10.

Reducing Impact with Regular Paintball Play

If low impact paintball doesn’t sound like your thing, but you have concerns about being hit – or about your friends or family being hurt when they are hit – there are some things you can do to help minimize any potential sting you might experience when being shot, including:

  • Wear long sleeve shirts and long pants.
  • Do not shoot at close quarters and warn your teammates about shooting when they are too close to someone. Understanding the rules and how to tell your friends from your foes will help you avoid the possible pain of friendly fire.
